Forgiveness power of grace and redemption.

In a small town, there lived a man named Daniel who had two sons, Mark and Adam. Daniel was a hardworking farmer and had always been strict and disciplined with his children. 

 

He instilled in them the values of responsibility and accountability, emphasizing the importance of honesty and loyalty.

Mark, the younger son, was full of ambition. He grew restless with the simple life on the farm and dreamed of a life in the city. 

One day, he asked his father for his share of the inheritance, hoping to invest it in his future. Daniel was heartbroken but gave him the money, hoping Mark would find his path wisely.

 

Mark left for the city, where he was swept up in the allure of luxury and pleasure. 

He spent his inheritance on parties, expensive items, and friendships that only lasted as long as his money did. In no time, he was left penniless and alone. Desperate, he took up odd jobs just to survive, living on scraps and struggling daily.

Finally, Mark realized the weight of his mistakes and was consumed with shame. He longed to return home, but the thought of facing his father, who had given him everything, was almost unbearable. 

 

Yet, driven by desperation and hope, he decided to return and beg his father for forgiveness, even if it meant working as a servant on the family farm.

As Mark walked up the road to his home, Daniel saw him from a distance. Every day since Mark had left, Daniel had kept watch, hoping his son would return. 

 

Seeing his son in rags, he was filled with compassion. Without a second thought, he ran down the road, his arms wide open. Mark, overwhelmed, fell to his knees, trying to apologize through his tears.

But Daniel didn’t let him finish. He lifted his son and embraced him tightly, as if he’d never let go again. He called out to his family to prepare a feast, declaring, “My son was lost but now is found!”
